Mindfulness-Based Dementia Care Eight Week Program
Are you caring for someone with dementia? Feeling stressed? This brand new 8-week program is specifically designed for professional and family caregivers of persons with dementia. It is also appropriate for health care providers serving dementia patients.
Learn how the practice of mindfulness can help you cope with the challenges and stresses of dementia care, and also greatly improve the experience of the person in your care. From the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.

Help Support Arts Education for Bay Area Students
Join other Coming of Age members to form a volunteer work party to support Streetside Stories, an arts education nonprofit that, in the last 23 years has helped more than 17,000 Bay Area students share their life stories, build community, connect with the arts, and improve literacy skills. Streetside's unique blend of writing, the arts, and technology have been recognized five times as a national model for arts education by the U.S. Department of Education.

Sort Books
Would you like to share your love of books? Have just a little time to give? Join the East Bay Children's Book Project to sort books for donation to under-resourced children. The East Bay Children's Book Project is dedicated to improving literacy by providing free books to professionals who work with children in need. In just under 5 years, they have given away almost a half million books.

Teach School Kids the Basics of Money Management
In the last ten years, the number of bankruptcies among 18-24 year olds has increased by 96%. You can help by teaching Money Savvy Youth to fourth and fifth graders in Oakland public schools. Kids who understand the basics of money management are more prepared to build sound financial futures for themselves. By volunteering to teach the course, you will help create a brighter future for low income communities.
