Continuing Education for Professionals

Education is a vital component to understanding and influencing key issues affecting older adults. Drawing on our experience of providing services to Bay Area seniors for over two decades, IOA is pleased to share our knowledge in the field of aging. The IOA Education Department provides numerous professional trainings, seminars, and continuing education (CEU) opportunities each year. Additionally, our experts are available by request to present to groups on a wide variety of topics related to aging.

Monthly Professional Training

IOA offers monthly scheduled trainings for professionals. Speakers cover topics ranging from how to communicate with clients suffering from dementia to understanding the role of spirituality when working with aging and disabled clients. A full calendar of scheduled professional trainings may be found on our education website.
