Continuing Education for Professionals
Education is a vital component to understanding and influencing key issues affecting older adults. Drawing on our experience of providing services to Bay Area seniors for over two decades, IOA is pleased to share our knowledge in the field of aging. The IOA Education Department provides numerous professional trainings, seminars, and continuing education (CEU) opportunities each year. Additionally, our experts are available by request to present to groups on a wide variety of topics related to aging.
Annual Professional Education Series
IOA offers an annual education series to professionals serving in the senior care field. Each unique series brings together experts from various avenues of senior care to speak on the critical issues faced by senior care professionals. CEU's are available for attendees licensed in a field or profession from one of the boards or associations listed below. CEUs available = 6.

Monthly Professional Training
IOA offers monthly scheduled trainings and case studies for professionals.
Speakers cover topics ranging from how to communicate with clients suffering
from dementia to understanding the role of spirituality when working
with aging and disabled clients. A full calendar of scheduled professional
trainings may be found on our education website.
