University of California: Northern California Geriatric Education Center

Institute on Aging is a community partner in the UCSF Northern California Geriatric Education Center. The UCSF NorCal GEC is funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration/Bureau of Health Professions (Grant Number UB4HP19046).

The Northern California Geriatric Education Center provides faculty and curriculum development in geriatric education and training and offers clinical training of health professions students. In addition, the GEC addresses needs for geriatric education among health professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the Monterey Bay Area, and in the rural counties of Northern California.
