Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center

Program Overview

IOA’s Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center offers personalized, dignified care for people with mild, moderate, or severe memory loss. Founded in 1983, this was San Francisco’s first day center specifically for care of Alzheimer’s patients, and continues to be the city’s largest. Our stable, experienced staff is continuously trained and offers an exceptionally high staff to client ratio. Specialized activities encourage individual expression, engagement, mental stimulation, and physical health. Additionally, as part of IOA’s Adult Day Health Program, all participants have access to convenient on-site healthcare, including nursing, podiatry, nutrition, physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social work services.
