Sponsorship Opportunities

LGBT & Aging Conference

LGBT & Aging: A Focus On Equality aims to provide information, inspiration and ideas for improving the lives of LGBT older adults. The special section in the Bay Area Reporter will examine why and how LGBT elders face additional obstacles to successful aging, and explore solutions that will benefit all Americans, whether young, old, heterosexual or LGBT. The LGBT & Aging: Focus on Equality Conference & Expo will be held Wednesay, April 10, 2013 at the Hotel Kabuki Hotel, where elder care related service providers and professionals will earn continung education credits. Sponsor this conference (PDF). You will need Adobe Reader to view this PDF file.

Cable Car Caroling

Build community and spread good will as a sponsor and participant at the annual Cable Car Caroling fundraiser. Patrick Arbore, Founder and Program Director, explains, "We all know the holidays can be a hard time for those living alone and on fixed incomes. But, really, they can be hard for anyone. Giving something of yourself, joining with others to give the gift of music and hospitality to others, makes everyone feel a little brighter." Held each December, Cable Car Caroling is the main fundraiser for IOA’s Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention, which supports the Friendship Line, a 24-hour support line for depressed, lonely, and isolated elders. Call 415.750.4143 or email lbungeroth@ioaging.org for more information.

Dinner à la Heart

IOA’s major fundraiser of the year, Dinner à la Heart supports all programs at IOA. Participants enjoy a prix fixe dinner at their choice of over 65 local restaurants. Sponsorship opportunities include meal underwriting, donation of thank you gifts, restaurant buy-outs, and more. Call 415.750.4143 or email lbungeroth@ioaging.org for more information.

Educational Events

Sponsor an educational event, partnering with IOA to help provide up-to-date information enabling elders to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Please call 415.750.4128 or email education@ioaging.org for more information.

Host an Art Exhibition

Provide your workplace with an attractive, evocative, and educational art exhibition promoting positive aging. IOA handles all of the details, selecting and attractively displaying artwork from our archive of photography, painting, poetry, oral history, and theatre. All artwork is created by IOA's Arts members, a program encouraging seniors to explore their creative potential by working on various art projects with professional local artists. In many projects, elders and youth are paired together in artist collaboration so that seniors have the opportunity to share their experiences and build lasting friendships with local high school students. Call 415.750.4182 or email jmccracken@ioaging.org for more information.
