Institute on Aging stands on a foundation of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice; for both the communities we support, and for us as valued team members working to achieve our mission of allowing aging adults and adults living with disabilities to age in the place they call home. However, we know we are not perfect, and this is a journey we are committed to by accepting our mistakes and we are acting to improve daily.
Together we must be willing to do more, share hope, and end racism. There is more work to be done at IOA in the form of ongoing education for all of us. This page is designed as a conduit for continued knowledge for those of us who wish to continue our education and understanding about racial inequity and how we as individuals can create the change we wish to see in the world. Together we can and together we will.
This is just the beginning, and we don’t have all the answers. This is a compilation of sources from many different voices, but we hope you continue to join us in sharing your voice and ideas for content on this page and for corporate cultural education and enrichment at IOA. Your participation is vital to our overall success as a team, we would love to hear from you.
