Mary Griffin, RN, MPH, joined IOA as the Vice President of Home Care and Support Services in February 2019 bringing over 30 years of experience in nursing, senior care, and home health. She has held positions with national home care companies where she has had numerous leadership roles in operations, marketing, and business development. Prior to joining IOA, Mary was president and co-founder of A Better Living Home Care, a California based private duty home care provider with offices in the greater San Francisco and Sacramento areas.
She has lectured extensively to medical foundations, health care associations, and insurance companies on cost and care-effective patient post-discharge follow-up solutions. She has published several articles on a variety of health care topics and has written a chapter in the Medical Entrepreneur’s Handbook.
In addition to her professional credentials, Mary has a unique perspective that she shares with many of her clients’ families. She was the primary family caregiver for her 91-year-old mother who was afflicted with memory impairment and debilitating arthritis. Her combined personal and professional experiences provide great insight into understanding client and families in need, and how best to serve them. She earned her Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Jose State University.
