IOA at Home brings a thoughtful approach to home care built around caregiver matching, innovative homecare solutions, and flexible schedules for in-home support that fits real life.

Backed by Institute on Aging (IOA), one of California’s largest nonprofits, which has been connecting adults to the resources they need to age with dignity and independence for more than 40 years.

What Makes IOA at Home Different

IOA at Home combines the experience of Institute on Aging with a thoughtful, nonprofit approach to in-home care.

Exceptional People, Exceptional Care

Many families come to us after experiencing rushed or impersonal care. At Institute on Aging (IOA), we take a different approach. Our caregivers are carefully selected, highly trained, licensed, and bonded, and supported by a professional team with decades of experience in aging services.

IOA has also been recognized nationally for caregiver satisfaction and quality care, earning multiple Best of Home Care awards since 2021.

A Non-Profit With a Purpose

As a mission-driven nonprofit, every recommendation IOA makes puts people first – not profits. We reinvest in programs that benefit older adults and their families, and we offer financial transparency and guidance to help you navigate care costs. Our focus is on helping families make informed decisions that feel right for their situation.

Innovative, Integrated Aging Support

IOA at Home is more than in-home help – it’s your gateway to a full continuum of aging services offered through Institute on Aging. From care management to dementia support, engaging with your community or just getting some emotional support, our holistic model means your care can grow with you as your needs continue to change. We will never leave you to navigate aging alone.

IOA at Home Services

Hourly Home Care

Flexible support when you need it, including personal care, errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, or companionship, so you can remain independent at home.

Overnight Care & 24/7 Support

Peace of mind through the night or around the clock with continuous support for safety, mobility, routines, or simply knowing someone is always there. Care is coordinated to ensure seamless support when extended or continuous care is needed.

Couples Care

Support designed for couples who wish to remain at home together. When one partner requires hands-on care, a caregiver can also assist with shared household needs such as meals, laundry, and daily routines to help both individuals remain comfortable at home. Care plans are customized based on each couple’s needs.

Memory and Specialized Support

IOA at Home also provides support for individuals with more complex needs, including memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. Care focuses on safety, structure, and maintaining familiar routines.

How You Benefit from In-Home Caregiver Support

In-home support can help older adults maintain independence while providing families with peace of mind. Benefits may include:

  • Feel comfortable, and confident with help bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Enjoy healthy meals with support for planning, cooking, and nutrition
  • Stay on track with medication and move safely around your home
  • Get where you need to go—appointments, errands, or social visits
  • Feel less alone with meaningful companionship and engagement
