Institute on Aging (IOA) is committed to expanding service offerings in caregiving, living with dementia, social isolation and loneliness through extraordinary experiences that join hearts and change lives. Every year, our programs touch the lives of more than 65,000 individuals and their circles of care, creating heart-to-heart connections that leave the world brighter, kinder, and more interconnected.
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at our Joining Hearts, Changing Lives gala to celebrate the connections Institute on Aging creates, and honor Dick Levy, whose leadership has helped shape health care and aging services in our community for decades. His commitment to innovation, excellence, and
compassionate care has made a lasting impact at Institute on Aging and across the region.
Through Dick’s early support of Institute on Aging’s Acute Care Pilot, care managers are now embedded in San Francisco emergency departments, helping connect older adults to critical support and strengthening the link between clinical care and community services.
Who will benefit from your support?
For more than 40 years, IOA has shaped the future of aging in California, annually connecting more than 67,000 aging adults, adults with disabilities, and their circles of care, to the resources that help them live independently, with dignity and joy. From the Friendship Line, whose staffers connect with thousands of isolated and lonely individuals every month, to Compania, IOA’s comprehensive dementia support program, IOA is unique in its offerings and its dedication to aging Californians. By 2030, one in four Californians will be an older adult, and your sponsorship will provide the critical support necessary to meet the ever-growing demand for our services and ensure that older Californians have a future to look forward to.
