Aging & Technology Conference

Presenters discussed the evolution of technology & aging, and how this evolution affects the health and social lives of older adults, as well as the work of both family and professional caregivers. Particular concerns of at-risk seniors were addressed (physical, mental/cognitive, fiscal), but we also saw how new technologies may help keep seniors engaged and more independent.

The course helped conference participants identify ways in which they may make their own contributions towards technology outcomes, by bringing their expertise and influence to the creation of new technologies.

This event featured tech innovators who are also elders, caregivers, senior-service providers or health professionals. They guided us in collectively considering new ways to support healthy aging and aging in place: Low-tech, high-tech and in-between!
