Caregiver Coaching
If you are caring for a loved one with dementia, we understand how challenging your world can be. Many caregivers feel isolated and overwhelmed, and need to be heard and understood. IOA’s Companioa Caregiver Coaching offers the expertise and emotional support of a trusted companion to guide you through this ever-changing journey. As Certified Dementia Practitioners®, our caregiver coaches are dedicated to helping caregivers navigate a loved one's dementia diagnosis. We do this by providing emotional support, resources and tools to improve the caregiving experience.
Adult Day Program
Located in the Enrichment Center at the Presidio, our adult day program offers social, cognitive, and physical activities for individuals living with dementia, allowing them to remain engaged and connected to the community while providing caregivers with a much-needed break. Participants often see improved mood, an increase in mind and body activity, slowed cognitive decline, better sleep and wake patterns, as well as a reduction in isolation and loneliness. Our dementia trained and certified staff specializes in supporting those with cognitive and physical challenges, while providing their supportive family members with respite opportunities.
Care Management
Managing the effects of dementia can be complex. Through the development and coordination of a comprehensive care plan, our skilled Care Managers offer an hourly service that can include support with medical appointments, assistance with long-term planning and medication management.
Home Care
Our dementia trained and certified home care aides provide a little extra help where you need it the most - at home. Beginning with a comprehensive assessment, we create an individualized plan of care that emphasizes dignity, independence and overall well-being - offering access to the home care services you need, when and where you need them.

Companioa means ongoing learning and enrichment:
In addition to planning with your Caregiving Coach, Companioa provides ongoing learning and enrichment via online educational seminars to connect you with a wide range of helpful resources related to providing care for someone living with dementia. And our caregiver support groups bring together people living through a shared experience. There’s always an opportunity to learn, connect and receive guidance and advice with others who are on your journey.
Priced to meet your needs:
Our Adult Day Program at the Enrichment Center in the Presidio is priced at $100 daily, and Caregiver Coaching is priced at $250 for a monthly membership. Grants are available to either supplement or cover these costs. Additional offerings including our specialized dementia home care assistance and Care Management are also available to supplement your comprehensive dementia care plan.
